Create Your Tournament. Now Take First Place!

Point Zapper runs your pickleball round robin end to end — balanced partners, court assignments, byes that rotate fairly — then takes scores from the players standing on the court and re-ranks everybody between games. The clipboard stays in the car.

Free to use. The companion app to CourtZapper — book the court there, run what happens on it here.

Why Point Zapper

Everything The Group Needs.
Nothing On Paper.

Organizing eleven people across three courts for six rounds used to mean a spreadsheet, a pen, and one person who never gets to play. This does that part.

Partners that actually match

Feed it DUPR ratings or self-assessments and it builds teams with the tightest skill spread it can find. Prefer chaos? Switch to fully random. Want to overrule it? Drag two names together and it schedules around your choice.

01

Scores from the court

Any player in the match can tap a score in. One player from the other team confirms it. Every edit keeps a timestamped history, so nobody quietly turns a 9 into an 11.

02

Standings between points

Win-loss, points for, points against, and differential re-sort the moment a score lands — on every phone in the group, not just the organizer’s.

03

A record that follows you

Lifetime wins, losses, win rate, average winning and losing score, and total differential across every group and every night you have played.

04

Groups, not group texts

Your Thursday night regulars, the 50+ crew, the mixed ladder — join as many as you want. Each has its own roster, chat, leaderboard, and admins.

Formats

Three Ways To
Fill The Night.

Every format handles odd headcounts, late arrivals, and someone leaving after round four without wrecking the schedule.

RR

Round robin

The default. Everyone plays everyone, or everyone plays a set number of rounds — fixed partners for the whole night, or fresh partners each round. Odd headcount is fine: byes rotate so nobody sits twice before the rest have sat once.

Fixed or rotating partnersRotating byesCourt + time slot schedule
AM

Americano

Partners change every round and you keep your own point total, not your team’s. Games run to a fixed number of points and every point you win goes on your card. The social-play format that works with any headcount.

Individual point totalsNew partner each roundFixed point target
MX

Mexicano

Same individual scoring as Americano, but pairings are seeded off the live leaderboard: after each round the leader partners the fourth place player against second and third. The field tightens as the night goes on.

Scoring & standings

Settle It On The Court.
Not In The Parking Lot.

Anyone plays, anyone scores

Every registered player in a match can enter the score — no waiting on one designated scorekeeper who wandered off to court 4.

  • One-tap confirm. A player from the other team confirms. Until then the score shows as pending on every phone.
  • Edit history. Every change records who made it and when, visible to the whole group.
  • Dispute flow. Either side can flag a score; the group admin sees both submitted versions side by side.
  • Guests can't score. Quick-added players show up in pairings and tonight's standings, but score entry and lifetime stats need an account.

Pick your tiebreakers

Choose the cascade before the first serve, from the rules pickleball groups already use. Drag them into whatever order your group argues about least.

  • Games won, then head-to-head result between the tied players
  • Point differential, overall or limited to matches between the tied players
  • Total points against — fewest given up wins
  • Unbroken? Coin flip on-screen, or a single game to 7 if the court is still free

Belong to as many as you like

A player can sit in the Thursday night group, the women's 3.5 ladder, and a tournament-only roster at the same time. Stats roll up per group and across all of them.

  • Invite by share link, phone contact, or in-app search
  • Public and discoverable, or private and invite-only
  • Owners and admins start events and manage the roster; members play and score
  • Per-group chat with photos from the night, plus block and report on every profile

Told what matters, when

Push is the default, with email and SMS as opt-in channels. Every category can be silenced per group.

  • You've been added to a match, or you're up next
  • A score was posted, or yours needs confirming
  • New event in a group, or an invite landed
  • Final results and your placement

Profiles carry a privacy setting: full stats visible to everyone, to your groups only, or to nobody but you.

Ratings

Bring Your Number.
Or Pick A Level.

Enter your DUPR rating from 1.0 to 6.0 and Point Zapper uses it to balance partners. No DUPR account? Self-assess instead, and the app maps you onto the same scale so mixed rosters still pair cleanly. Automatic two-way DUPR sync is on the roadmap — it needs a signed partnership with DUPR, so for now the number is yours to type.

1.0–2.5

Beginner

Learning the kitchen line, serves are landing, keeping score out loud.

2.5–4.0

Intermediate

Consistent dinks and drives, starting to stack and poach on purpose.

4.0–5.0

Advanced

Resets under pressure, controls the speed-up, plays the sideline.

5.0–6.0

Pro

Tournament-level hands, error rates that make round robins uncomfortable.
